Absolutely! We recommend cleaning your air ducts first and then the carpet afterward. This way our air duct crew is not walking on your fresh, clean carpet. However, if there is no alternative option, our crew always wears booties to protect your home. For convenience’s sake, we are happy to offer carpet and air duct cleaning appointments in the same day. In this case, the air duct cleaning crew will arrive in the morning and the carpet cleaning crew will arrive in the afternoon.
You should vacuum based on a few various factors: number of occupants in your home/pets/traffic/ and allergy symptoms. These factors combined influence how frequently your carpet should be vacuumed. For light usage, weekly vacuuming is recommended. Families with children and pets should vacuum as often as daily to reduce soil and allergens in the home. Having your carpet 3M Scotchgard protected makes vaccuuming 75% more effective! Pro tip: when vacuuming, you want to overlap strokes & do several passes on each spot to maximize soil removal.
Cautiously. Many over-the-counter products can leave behind residue and even have chemical properties that set stains, making them harder to remove. For safe & effective home solutions, reference our Spot Solution Guide. In many cases, it’s best to leave stain removal to the Modteam!
No, you do not need to be home during the cleaning. If you have errands to run or wish to be away from the home for any reason, we have Contact Free Service available for your convenience.

HVAC systems use ductwork to move air throughout your home. A hot air vent pushes air either from your furnace or air conditioning unit into your home. The cold air return is where air is drawn into your furnace system to be heated or cooled.
Air Duct Cleaning is a key factor in maintaining the indoor air quality in your home. To maintain an efficient HVAC system, NADCA recommends getting your air ducts inspected at least once a year and having them cleaned as needed. Here are some variables that may mean you need more frequent service:
Additionally, here are some signs that it may be time to have your air ducts cleaned:
If you notice a bad smell coming out of your air ducts, it is possible that a critter may have gotten stuck and perished. Our crews are equipped to address this concern for you – be sure to choose this option when scheduling your appointment. Many customers in this situation opt for the sanitizer to be applied after the animal is removed to address the remaining bacteria and odor.
Over the years, our technicians have recovered countless items from air ducts: Car keys, wedding rings, money, toy cars and a huge collection of bouncy balls. It is helpful if you have an idea for them about which vent the item was lost in. However, if you’re not sure, they can play detective. Be sure to choose to add this item to your quote when scheduling.
On average, most customers should have their frequently used upholstery cleaned every 6-12 months. If you have little ones or allow pets on the furniture, consider more frequent cleaning.
After the cleaning, our technicians will stack removable cushions upright and at angles to give them the most surface area exposed to air and speed up dry time. It is recommended that you leave them this way until completely dry. On average, most upholstery takes between 6-8 hours to dry but can take up to 24 hours depending on the temperature and humidity level in your home. If possible, run fans and keep the home above 70 degrees to speed up dry time.
Absolutely! We clean and condition leather furniture to restore its luster and comfort. Check out our process here.
If the throw pillows are the same fabric as the couch, they are considered part of the cleaning. If they are additional pillows added after the fact, discuss this with your crew at the time of the service. They will evaluate whether or not these can be cleaned.
Absolutely! We dry clean upholstery every day. We mist on a water-free dry clean solvent, agitate with a towel or brush, and then use our truck-mounted vacuum to complete the cleaning. This method is not as aggressive as traditional hot-water extraction, but is a great option to preserve and clean luxury dry-clean-only pieces.
This depends on the amount of traffic in and out of the areas. On average, we recommend cleaning at least annually, more frequently for high-traffic areas.
It is recommended you stay off the tile for a minimum of two hours, after which, you may walk on it with bare feet or socks. Furniture can be replaced after the sealant has completely cured, which is normally 24 hours.
