Textile Restoration: Dont’ Be Taken to the Cleaners explains how textile restoration specialists have proved processes and resources to ensure a claim is processed properly for the benefit of the homeowner, adjuster and agent. Additionally, it will expose the multiple differences between using a retail dry cleaner and a textile restoration specialist during the claims process, as well as examine the significance of a properly managed claim to lower and control claim costs.

 Ethics for Insurance Professionals is an activity-based course that meets the requirements of providing ethics instruction while also allowing students the opportunity to learn from each other through the use of scenarious relevant to their working environment. The course covers the history of ethics, then uncovers common ethical situations in both the sales and claims environments and finishes with a discussion of how students can lead by ethical example.

 Introduction to Electronic Restoration is an introduction to electronics restoration and its impact on insurance claims. Students will learn how to successfully manage a claim with electronics in order to reduce the cost and severity of the claim, while creating accountability and improved customer service. This course also will examine the significance of utilizing qualified service providers to help identify, inventory and properly capture all types of media and electronics for restoration, replacement or non-salvageability.

Hoarding – An Extreme Claim Situation examines hoarding and its impact on insurance claims. Students will develop the necessary skills to identify when and to what degree hoarding is occurring. In addition, students will learn how to work with a hoarder during the claims process as well as understand the savings when a professional restorer who specializes in hoarding is used.
