For nearly 50 years, Modernistic has been providing home and business owners with exceptional cleaning and restoration services. Our family-owned company is looking for a thorough Mechanic who takes pride in their work, to join our growing team! Our ideal candidate will work cohesively with our team of mechanics across the state, to perform preventative and routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections – keeping our fleet and equipment in optimal shape!
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the technician
- Perform major and minor electrical and mechanical repairs
- Perform fluid changes, lubrication, safety inspections, and brake repairs, as required by the DOT, to ensure vehicle and equipment meets manufacturer and department standards.
- Respond to service calls from Technicians in the field and assist with off-site vehicle and equipment troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with team regarding repairs and status of the fleet.
- File appropriate documentation on each repair
- Maintain mechanical knowledge of company vehicles and equipment
- Communicate with Logistics Manager
- Analyze information, problems, practices, or procedures to define the problem
Qualifications:
Passionate about service and motivated to exceed customer expectations
- High school diploma/GED required
- 3+ years of automotive repair experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of tools and equipment required to conduct all repairs
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools required
- Flexible schedule and a willingness to work overtime when needed
- Lift, carry, and/or stack up to 50 pounds
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay: From $20.00 per hour
