Simple & Quick Air Quality Testing For Mold
As more and more Americans spend more time indoors (around 90% of our time, according to the EPA), indoor air quality (IAQ) has become a hot topic. It’s the air you breathe, after all! While not all strains of mold are hazardous, some can be downright dangerous to you and your family’s health. You especially don’t want to be breathing in Aspergillus or Stachybotrys (Black Mold) spores!
The Institute of Medicine (IOM) found that these varieties of mold have been known to cause upper respiratory tract symptoms, cough, wheezing, and increased risk of asthma and asthma-related symptoms. Nobody wants that in their home’s air. In addition, people who are allergic to mold can have more severe reactions, such as shortness of breath, fever, and even lung infections.
