Air Quality Testing

Simple & Quick Air Quality Testing For Mold

As more and more Americans spend more time indoors (around 90% of our time, according to the EPA), indoor air quality (IAQ) has become a hot topic. It’s the air you breathe, after all! When your home is affected by mold spores, your IAQ is compromised, and worse yet, it’s not visible to the naked eye. While not all strains of mold are hazardous, some can be downright dangerous to you and your family’s health. You especially don’t want to be breathing in Aspergillus or Stachybotrys (Black Mold) spores!

The Institute of Medicine (IOM) found that these varieties of mold have been known to cause upper respiratory tract symptoms, cough, wheezing, and increased risk of asthma and asthma-related symptoms. Nobody wants that in their home’s air. In addition, people who are allergic to mold can have more severe reactions, such as shortness of breath, fever, and even lung infections.

These issues and others is why Modernistic offers air quality testing. We want to keep you and your family safe from airborne mold and other airborne pollutants. Using our air sampling technology, we measure the type, amount, and distribution of spores throughout your home. Even if there is no obvious mold damage visible, we’ll be able to tell exactly what’s affecting your IAQ.

Modernistic Air Quality Testing Process:

  • Field Assessment – inspecting the site for signs of mold damage
  • Air sampling – taking several air samples, including baseline, home, and affected area samples
  • 3rd party testing – having a 3rd party laboratory test and evaluate the air samples
  • Results – interpreting, evaluating, and sharing the results with the homeowner
  • Gameplan – recommending a course of action based on the results

Depending on the results of the air quality test, our certified mold evaluators will give you their professional recommendation on what to do. Some levels of mold in your indoor air are normal, but if the sampling test indicates unsafe spore levels, remediation may be necessary. Whether or not you choose to use Modernistic’s mold removal services is up to you, but we’ll be happy to provide whatever level of remediation you need!
