Allergy Relief

Modernistic’s Anti-Allergen Program offers anti-allergen and disinfectant programs that treat and reduce the allergens and bacteria found in your Michigan home. When treated by Modernistic, the agents that cause allergies may be inactive for up to six months, bringing you and your family allergy relief. We can reduce the allergens in your carpet and upholstery by 90% with our anti-allergen solution. It has been tested and shown to be highly effective at neutralizing the most common allergens, including those from dust mites and pets. 3M Scotchgard™ and DuPont Teflon™ Protection

Modernistic can help protect your carpet and upholstery from stains, spills, spots, dirt, and more with 3M Scotchgard™ Carpet and DuPont Teflon™ Protectors. Applying Scotchgard™ or DuPont Teflon™ to your carpet helps prevent liquids spills from absorbing into the fibers making it easier blot up and clean and helps stains release more easily when carpet and upholstery is cleaned. They will also help with your daily vacuuming by allowing your vacuum to remove up to three times more dry particulate than carpets which are not treated. When scheduling your next appointment, please ask our Customer Care representative to add 3M Scotchgard™ or DuPont Teflon™ to your order. This is a service that our technicians are ready to do at the time of your cleaning.

Deodorizing

For a healthy and fresh smelling home, Modernistic offers a variety of deodorizers designed to eliminate odors – not just cover them up.
There are a variety of things that can cause odors in carpet and upholstery – from the musty smell of a basement or closet, to general household odors from cooking or cigarette smoke, to your lovable pet. Modernistic can remove the odor and it’s source from hard surfaces, textiles, carpets and carpet backings using a deodorizing disinfectant against a spectrum of bacteria. We can even neutralize dog and cat urine odors and most other animal odors. Advanced solvents actually permanently encapsulate and seal in odors to control them. These work great for preventing the return of pet urine odor when moisture or humidity would normally reactivate the smell. Our products are used in homes, restaurants, day-care centers, nursing homes, commercial institutions and more and are available in a variety of fragrances – Cinnamon, Citrus, Fresh Apple, Floral, Fresh Mint and more.

Area Rug Cleaning

Modernistic’s 35 years of experience in Michigan can keep your area rugs looking beautiful and healthy with regular cleanings. Our team of trained and certified technicians can clean most unbound and bound carpets and are equipped to properly care for all types of rugs, giving them the specialized care they need.
To prevent dirt being tracked throughout your home, Modernistic recommends having your traffic area rugs cleaned during all of your regular cleanings. We offer two easy solutions for cleaning your area rugs. We will clean the area rugs right in your home or, if you prefer, you can drop off your area rugs, we will clean them in our shop, and have them ready for pick up in just a few days.

Mattress Cleaning

Did you know that you spend 40% of your time in your bedroom? Did you also know that your mattress is one of the dirtiest objects in your home? You can find all sorts or residues, contaminants, dust mites, germs and more in your mattress! Michigan’s Modernistic can clean your mattress to eliminate these unwanted pests and neutralize the allergens that they produce, giving you a good, restful night of sleep.
We will vacuum, pre-spray, and clean your mattress using our truck mounted steam extraction system and the latest technology available. We can also apply an additional protection for your mattress with our line of anti-allergens, deodorizers, and disinfectants, all at the same time we clean your carpet.

Carpet Repair

Sometimes your carpet needs a little more than cleaning. If you have split seams, burns or tears, waves of ripples or even permanent stains, Modernistic can help with three different carpet repair services:
1. Carpet Re-Stretching is our most requested repair. For carpets that are “bubbling” or “buckling”, this procedure lays the carpet back flat again, just like when it was first installed.
2. Pad Replacement is recommended when the present padding is too worn or if bad stains have penetrated the padding. For example, if pet urine has seeped deep enough to become trapped in the padding, cleaning may not be able to remove the stain and odor and they may continually resurface.
3. Carpet Cut and Patch is the most cost-effective alternative to replacing carpet due to permanent stains (such as nail polish or certain candle wax). We will replace the damaged carpet with a piece that has been removed from an inconspicuous place, such as a closet, or leftover remnants.

Vehicle Cleaning

Most people remove their shoes before entering their home, but not their car. There is a lot of dirt, soil, grass, and more that may be tracked onto the floor mats in your vehicle. Modernistic can help with a complete vehicle cleaning for your car, truck, motor home, or boat.
Modernistic cleans interiors and leaves them looking like new. We not only can clean the floors, but we will also clean your upholstered bench and bucket seats as well as clean, condition, and rejuvenate your leather seats. Modernistic uses hand held tools that can clean crevices and corners that other cleaning tools cannot.
Using our powerful truck mounted steam cleaning system, we can clean your vehicle in your driveway or you can drop it off at our shop and we will have it ready by the end of the day for you to pick up.

Air Duct Cleaning

With the help of Modernistic, you can be breathing cleaner air in your Michigan home in no time! Your air ducts are major collectors of dust, dander, dirt, and other harmful contaminants. These particles pollute your air and trigger allergies. Modernistic offers a complete air duct cleaning to help you maintain a clean, healthy, and comfortable living environment. Our professional technicians clean your entire heating, ventilation, and cooling (HVAC) system. First, they remove your vent covers and insert a power-driven rotary brush into each of your ducts. This brush works itself into the duct, dislodging dirt, debris, pet hair, and allergens along the way. Then, compressed air is blown through each air duct to ensure the dirt loosened by the brush is dislodged from the sides of your air ducts. Next, our technicians connect a powerful vacuum to the main trunk line. This vacuum collects the dislodged contaminants and disposes of it in a hopper in the truck mounted system. Finally, our technicians clean your vent covers and put them back into place, leaving your home just the way they found it. Our process, with its combination of brushing, vacuuming, and compressed air, ensures that your home’s ventilation system is thoroughly cleaned.
