Modernistic Rugology can easily clean 75 to 100 area rugs per day, with less than a two-week turn around time. The new technology mimics hand washing, the way rugs were washed in the old country in the river. It provides rugs of all sizes with a full immersion, very boutique style wash, with multi-stage inspection and personalized care. Repair services are also available. The rugs are dried in a very controlled atmosphere using a combination of air movement and dehumidification. As a result, rugs are cleaner and much softer. Pick up and delivery is available. The cost per rug varies on type, between $2 and $5 per square foot.

“This new technology is the best way to wash every day area rugs or expensive family heirlooms,” says Modernistic spokesperson, Jillian McDonald. “Our new plant has the capability to wash any rug at any size in a controlled environment. We use environmentally safe and biodegradable products, and all the equipment was made right here in Michigan.”

Modernistic is partnering with interior design and flooring stores to act as drop off centers. “With this innovative program, drop off centers would receive referral compensation for each rug washed, greater foot traffic and free advertising by us promoting the locations, ” says McDonald. “It’s a win-win for everyone that way.”
